Travel to Ireland is on the horizon, with luxury tours this autumn…
Just to follow on from our previous letter, to let you know how things are here in Ireland: there is great news on the vaccine roll-out. 300-400 thousand people a week are being vaccinated and lowest infection and hospital admissions in nearly a year. Unfortunately, the Delta Variant is a cause for concern, but all practical steps are being taken to minimise it’s impact. We are still planning to commence our autumn tour programme.
We have recently returned from a nine-day tour of the west coast of Ireland, starting in Killarney and finishing in Donegal. This trip, encapsulated virtually the entire world-famous wild Atlantic way.
The route began in Dublin and headed to Killarney, via the iconic Rock of Cashel on day 1.
Day 2: was the Ring of Kerry.
Day 3: The Dingle Peninsula.
Day 4: the Burren and the Cliffs of Moher, finishing in Galway.
Day 5: Kylemore Abbey, the Sky Road, Killary Harbour, the Quiet Man Bridge.
Day 6: Leenane, Doolough, Delphi, Louisbourgh and Croagh Patrick.
Day 7: Drumcliffe graveyard, Benbulben, Mullaghmore.
Day 8: Slieve League, Strandhill and Killybegs.
Day 9: Glencar Waterfall.
We were incredibly lucky on this trip, as we had absolutely stunning weather. With the exception of day 4, when we had some rain in the afternoon, we were blessed with blistering sunshine. This allowed our videoographers to attain some stunning footage. Accompanying myself on this trip was Dean Kelly, luxury large coach driver/ James Swan, luxury mini-coach driver/Leigh Dalton, videographer and assistant Gemma Lang. Loraine Lawlor, co-ordinator and PA to Martin.
This is the first time a video of this nature has been undertaken, and the results of this will be available to view on the 12th of July. We can assure you, that this will be a visually stunning achievement. This will allow you to dip in and view any part of the west of Ireland and we would like to hear your views and opinions on this. I don’t think any words that I could use, would do this video justice.
This will be available to view on our website from 12/7/2021 onwards and I would urge you to take a look. We would very much like to hear your views and comments regarding same. As I said, this is just for you to browse and enjoy. Simultaneously, on the 12th of July, we are also launching our autumn tours to Ireland, which we hope will meet with your approval. These tours are under the heading A Feast For The Senses. Both tours will begin in Dublin and one will head south and southwest Ireland.
The other one will head west and northwest Ireland. The full itineraries will be available on our website on the 12th of July. We feel that these tours encapsulate all that you hope for on your visit to Ireland. We have put a lot of thought and consideration into this project and feel we have struck the right balance.
We expect there will be a high demand for these tours. As you are no doubt aware, everyone, everywhere, is anxious to travel as soon as possible. There are limited spaces available as we are only putting a small number of tours online at this point.
We look forward to hearing from you soon.
