Trip Destinations / Itinerary
Departing from Burgh Quay we will drive through the city along the River Liffey, taking in the sights and sounds of our capital city.
Departing Dublin City, we will make our way down the N7 towards Portlaoise where we will stop for a coffee break before travelling to Bunratty Castle.
Arriving at Bunratty Castle, we will stop for a short break. This picturesque castle is the perfect place for a photo with your group, a souvenir to remember your trip to one of Ireland's most complete and authentic medieval castles. Built in 1425 it was restored in 1954 to its former medieval splendour and now contains mainly 15th and 16th century furnishings, tapestries, and works of art which capture the mood of those times - See more at: https://www.shannonheritage.com/BunrattyCastleAndF...
Cliffs of Moher
The Cliffs of Moher is one of Ireland's finest attractions and it's beauty is hard to match. When arriving in the Cliffs of Moher, we will spend approximately two hours there, depending on your preferences, but it is recommended that you spend about two hours to get the full experience. While there you can explore the Visitors Centre, take in the beautiful scenic ocean view from the cliffs and more. The Cliffs of Moher is something everyone should experience once in their lifetime.
Scenic drive along the West coast of Ireland (Stopping at The Burren)
Departing from the Cliffs of Moher, we will now begin our scenic drive along the West Coast of Ireland. On this route, we will stop off in the Burren in Co. Clare. The Burren is one of Ireland's most unique tourist attractions. A karst landscape that is a region of outstanding significance in terms of its geology, geomorphology, natural history and archaeology. Another must visit attraction while spending time in Ireland!
After spending some time at the Burren, we will depart for Dunguaire Castle. Dunguaire Castle is a tower house located on the South-eastern shore of Ireland's famous Galway Bay. The name derives from the Dun of King Guaire, the legendary king of Connacht. The Castle was bought and restored in 1924 repaired by Oliver St. John Gogarty, the famous surgeon and literary figure. Today the restored castle gives an insight into the lifestyle of the people who lived from 1520 to modern times.
